ROGUE

The Rogue Element ( Chew The Fat )

has been dropping some bombs recently - I won't go on too much (partly cos I dont know about the fella too much) except he's getting a hell of a lot of rightly deserved attention at the moment, including an AWESOME Radio 1 Annie Mac Mini mix (on his myspace), and a real heavy Franz Ferdiand remix (below).

Control and Escalation, though, are tracks I recommend VERY HIGHLY.

Escalation - The Rogue Element (320)

Control - Lee Combs (The Rogue Element Remix) - amazing

No You Girls - Franz Ferdinand (The Rogue Element remix)

BONKERZ

^^^ Thats the 1st Google Image result for Doorly so thats what you're getting. Very appropriate.

Everyone's heard

the Dizze/Armand Van Helden track; Doorly has a refreshing dubby club take on a remix that sounds awesome loud and clubbed out.

have a listen, in 320 glory.

Cheers Doooorrrlyy

Bonkers - Armand Van Helden Feat Dizzee Rascal (Doorly Remix) 320

Rage Against The Arveene

ARVEENE AND MISK (THE FACTS)

ABSOLUTELY LOVING THESE GUYS RIGHT NOW.

They have been together just 2 years but both have a decade experience rocking dancehalls as DJs and performers

They have released numerous remixes which have received support from Busy P, A Track, Surkin, Erol Alkan, Liam Howlett, Boys Noize, Annie Mac and more.

Basically, absolute bangers all round.

Have a listen to some of the tracks - have uploaded a while bunch of awesome stuff, especially the inventively titled Rage Against The Arveene...

MTVZZZZ

I'm obsessed with

Good music videos.

I remember watching Korn - Freak on a Leash for the 1st time and thinking OH EM GEE, as well as Manna Manna by the Muppets which I have recently revisted with

SOPHIE*

my Girlfriend.. (LSD much?)

But my favourite flavour are the electronic music videos, namely Cunningham (Warp Records, Aphex Twin etc) but much more....

Thought I'd upload my top 5 and see what you think, these are not to be missed...

ps: * She complained after I referred to her as "girlfriend" rather than her actual name, have since edited post.

1.The Chemical Brothers Feat. Kele Bloc Party - Believe

Truly terrifying! Amazing special effects and nice druggy aftertaste at the end.

2.Rubber Johnny - Aphex Twin (Directed by Chris Cunningham) [gave my friend Sam nightmares]

Absolutely disturbing as Fuck. Watch out.

3.Justice - Stress

Perfect for the song, highly controversial and got banned. (Watch out for the bit then he kicks D.A.N.C.E. to shit in the Car stereo, trying to tell us something Justice?!)

4.Daft Punk - AeroDynamic

Classic, beautiful song and beautiful video (part of a series/manga story based on the tracks from Daft Punk's "Discovery")

5.The Human League - Don't You Want Me

Couldn't be more 80's if it tried - still an amazing song. Check out that Guy Liner!

Have I missed any?

fuck it, here's Mana Mana - Muppets.

DOORLY

Doorly is one of the

most promising producers and DJs around at the moment. His remix of Calvin Harris' Not Alone took the squelch of Electro Dubstep to the masses as he drops his new material as Resident DJ at two of the biggest nights in the North of England - Wax On and Bad Robot (Leeds).

Heres some Tracks he's kindly provided -

Mr Oizo - Lamb's Garbage (Doorly's Cut n Paste Remix)

Catch Doorly at the Newcastle end of Wax On, 1st May with Fake Blood and Proxy

KKK

No, not the hooded

horse riding super racists of the Deep South (although they are from the deep south of England), the Kool Kids Klub is a collective of Essexians that after two years of smashing the scene are now throwing a huge 2nd Birthday Party. Showcasing talent such as Andy George, Urchins, Kissy Sell Out, Boy 8 Bit, Foamo, Tomb Crew and Zombie Disco Squad, the night has gone from massive to supernova - and even the T shirts are Kool.

This years birthday line up boasts probably some of the best DJs/Producers in the world right now (soz Carlsberg), and definitely my favourites - Fake Blood, A Trak, Brodinski and Vicarious Bliss (an Ed Banger).
ps: Come on lads, bring it up North ;)

ZOMBIES

ZOMBIES

are a recurring theme in my life. Always having nightmares about them, they're in my favourite films (particularly enjoying REC at the moment, See Video below), on my posters, in my favourite artists work and even in my favourite clubs. They are Something I've always been fascinated in/terrified of. Kinda want a Zombie T shirt. Make me one?

I think playing Resident Evil 5 for about 15 hrs solidly has also brought back some horrific/terrific memories and fascinations. Remember this one from the original Resi on the PS1?

Anyway:

Recently, I've noticed an influx of awesome music, based around zombies. In a truly tenuous link sort of manner, Here's a few i've compiled that are simply AWESOME tunes. Featuring Zombie Disco Squad, Fake Blood, Herve, The Presets, Laidback Luke blahhhh.

SOOO I started a Tumblr blog yesterday, which I've highly enjoyed, but it seems that not many people use it.... for now. (http://joegoulcher.tumblr.com/)

So I've made a Blogger too; not really sure why I've suddenly felt the urge to make a blog - probably another self important, introspective ego boost, But if you know me then that's not a surprise.

My aim is just to post pretty/awesome/cool/gross/sexy/disturbing/controversial/important/none-important/shiny/bassy/noisy things, and see what you lot think of them too.

But right now, I'm off to make some Focaccia and listen to the new Yeah Yeah Yeah's (mp3) album.
